Dan and I would just like to give our consoledence to the Sansotta family. Nick will be sadly missed on and off the field. Marion midget football will not be the same without him. We have been part of the Vikings midget football team for 11 years and Nick always was good about always making us feel welcome no matter what. He was a great inspiration to all that he coached and to all the other coaches for the other teams. He will forever be missed.

Even though Nick Anthony and I lost touch over the years due to thousands of miles separating us I finally went on to Facebook mid February of this year and reconnected with my loving family. I am humbled by all the lives he touched and how many people admire him, love him, and grieve now for his passing.I am so thankful that I have been blessed to get to know him and his family. the best way I can honor him is to let everyone know I will never lose touch again. Nick Anthony’s life was well lived and God saw fit to take him home. I am sure God said to Nick: “job well done, my son, now come join me in paradise with all your loved ones that are waiting for you.”

Nick was the only Coach who took a chance on LJ as a manager and soon realized this little, undersized kid from Germany had great potential in him. He not only encouraged the youth in Marion but also challenged parents to be the best mentor to the youths as well. My sons (LJ and Jordan) are truly at a loss for words even though we knew the day would come that God would call Nick home to do great works. We Love Nick and will miss him. To the family we share in your loss and truly pray that your hearts are mended and peace is given unto you with abundance. May blessings shower down upon Nicks children and grandchildren for he was a blessing to all who he came into contact with. Last to all of Nick Sansotta Boys, remember the teachings and leadership of one of the greatest mentors that lived selflessly and believed in every single child he taught and challenged them in reaching for their goals. When others say your too small, too slow and your dreams are not reachable just remember and imagine Nick saying “Your as big, fast and strong as the fight within you” R.I.Hvn Nick Sansotta we love you

I am sending prayers to his wife and family at this time of loss. Nick was a good man and showed many people a lot about life and how to handle life’s lessons that was handed to us. I was given an awesome opportunity to get to know him and his family through Marion Midget football . My two sons have learned a lot through their experiences with the football organization and it was a great time getting to know everyone. I am keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is an amazing program and I also have gained a lot of wisdom through working with this organization. May God bless his family in during this time of suffering and may they be given comfort and peace as they continue in their life.

Nick was a father figure to so many…a wonderful father to his own children and a father to all the kids he so successfully coached. He not only coached these kids in football, he also coach them in life. His love for them will leave a lasting impact on scores of people. His example is one we all should try to emulate. We will never forget his humble smile and is quiet laugh. Nick’s laid-back, peaceful nature personified the right attitude toward life…”Take it day by day and don’t sweat the small stuff.” Thank you for the memories Nick Anthony.
